How can I update my list?

Through NCOA (National Change of Service) you can obtain the new addresses of those people who have moved within the past 3 years. This is done before your mailing, therefore saving wasted mail pieces and postage and reaching the people who fit your profile. An alternative is to apply an Ancillary Endorsement (address change) to the mailpiece to get returns of those pieces that are not delivered.

What if I don’t have a mail list?
The success of your Direct Mail Campaign depends in part on the strength of your mailing list. Experts agree - The right list makes all the difference. Calloway Network will work closely with you to purchase the prospect list which best suits your needs through our partnership with our preferred national list broker. We start by learning what your business does and who your best customers are. Remember, Direct Mail works when you mail to the people most likely to buy your product or service. A good list will accomplish this. We have access to every available list and can select your business or consumer list by the demographics that best match your most profitable customers.

If I purchase/rent a mailing list, how many times may I use it?
Most mailing lists can be purchased/rented with a single use or multiple use licenses. Multiple use licenses are typically good for one year.

I’ve heard that purchased lists have many undeliverable addresses in them. How can I be sure I am acquiring a list with good information?
Our purchased lists are all NCOA (National Change of Address) and CASS Certified where applicable. Our list brokers utilize all possible processes to produce the cleanest, most deliverable lists. Reputable list companies do not "house" old data. They only use the most current information available. However, no list on the market today is 100% deliverable. In fact, it is unrealistic to believe a direct mail list must be completely free of undeliverable addresses to work. Remember, it is the number of responses received that determine the success of a mailing.

How do list compilers obtain their information for lists?

Mailing list compilers capture demographic information on nearly every US household. The majority of information is compiled from public county records, phone directories and census data. This information is then appended or overlaid with over 300 available sources ranging from paper and online surveys, product warranty card registration and magazine subscription data. Lists are regularly checked against the NCOA (National Change of Address) file to increase deliverability between file updates which usually take place between every two to six weeks.

Can I do personalized letters?
Yes, we can include an inside address, salutation, and any other variable data within a letter. Letters can be multiple pages, single sided or duplexed.

What label options do I have?
Most mail pieces are inkjetted but cheshire, pressure sensitive, or piggy-back pressure sensitive labels can also be applied.
Your account manager can advise you on what to use.
